Let this be a lesson in how to keep designers in check so you get the best possible product for your money.

I've learned a few things online, none more disappointing than the horror stories about year-long web projects and completely evaporated online budgets as a result of designers whose creativity is bigger than the amount of time they are actually given. Let this article guide you in putting the kibosh on overzealous web designers who design only to impress other designers. You can have an impressive web site (for a price that might dissuade boutique web firms from your creating your site) that will still sell products or services. Remember, designers are people too and they have to eat, but you don't have to feed them at the fanciest restaurant forever.

Set up a timeline.... Designers, not just web designers, are notoriously lazy. Set up a deadline, contact them periodically to check on the status and do NOT offer extensions. In fact, you might want to consider making them sign a binding legal agreement that says that they will be responsible for lost revenue as a result of the site not being complete. Remember, they work for you, so make them work according to your schedule.

Set up a budget.... One of the most important rules of being successful is getting people to do things your way. Figure out what you can afford and stick to it. If your designer won't do it for the price you want, keep in mind that designers are like fish in the sea; so show them the highway. Don't pay for anything you didn't agree to up front and don't get talked into spending thousands of additional dollars for things you question the legitimacy of. Remember, sometimes less is more.

Know what you want and get explanations...... Approach designers with a good idea about what you want. Research is one of the first steps in designing a business plan and it certainly applies here. Find at least ten sites with ten unique aspects that are appealing to you and have been successful for that site operator. Ask designers to explain things that you don't get, and you will quickly realize how knowledgeable and skilled that designer is.

Make designers accountable..... Good designers like a challenge. Since web design is an all but unregulated industry (and a billion dollar industry at that) you will have to find a way to make designers accountable for what they promise. That means: sign a contract with them. Not complete by a certain date? How about a fifteen percent discount?

Back to the kitchen sink..... Web designers unless they say differently, are just that, designers. They are typically not search engine optimizers or marketing, advertising or promotions specialists so stay away from designers who say will "throw SEO in" on top of what you already paid. Designers have enormous egos and you have to keep them in check.

* Make sure the corners and edges on the bunk bed are smooth and rounded. Sharp or blunt edges can serve up many bumps and bruises.
* The ladder should be securely attached and be wide enough for your child to climb. The ladder should also not be removable by children. Also, make sure the rungs on the ladder are properly spaced; they should not have to take a large step up to step on the next rung.
* Make sure the bunk beds have guardrails all the way around the bed and cannot be removed by children. The guardrails should have to be removed by removing a fastener device or some type of combination pressure lifting.

Following these steps when shopping for bunk beds will help ensure your children's safety when playing or sleeping in their new bunk bed. And it will also give you a "peace of mind" when making the purchase.

Perform all exercises using slow and controlled motions while focusing on the muscles intended to be worked. Do not use jerking types of motions. Stop immediately if you feel any pain or discomfort. Always consult your doctor before starting an exercise program.

1. Foot Tapper, (Oblique Exercise) - Lie on your back with your feet flat on the floor about six inches apart and your knees bent. Position your feet fairly close to your body, arms at your side, shoulders on the floor or close to it and chin tucked. Squeeze your left oblique (side of abdominal) and tap your left foot with your left hand. Do the same with your right hand and continue alternating back and forth. Tap each foot 10 times. To increase the difficulty reach under the legs and tap the opposite foot.

2. Bridging, (Lower Back Exercise) - Lie on your back with your feet shoulder width apart, flat on the floor with your knees bent. Place your hands on the floor next to your hips. Contract the low back muscles and lift the hips off of the floor until your torso and thighs are in a straight line. Hold for 5-10 seconds, return to the starting position and repeat 5-10 times. A pillow is optional.

3. Lower Body Crunch, (Lower Abdominal Exercise) - Lie on your back, bend your knees toward the ceiling and raise your feet off the ground. Your thighs should be at a 90 degree angle at your hips with your feet close to your buttocks. Place your hands flat by your side. Roll your hips and knees toward your chest while contacting the lower abdominal muscles. Return to a 90 degree angle and repeat 10-15 times.

4. Planking, (Total Abdominal Exercise) - Start in a traditional push-up position with your back straight. Place your elbows on the floor directly under your shoulders. Tighten your abs and lower back and hold this position for 30-60 seconds. Rest for 30 seconds and repeat. To isolate the upper or lower abs slowly extend one arm or leg out off the ground at a time alternating all four. A towel under the elbows is optional.

Alcohol can lead to physically fighting with your friends and family and it can also lead to a loss of trust between you. Ask yourself how can anyone trust someone that is drunk all the time? Losing It All When somebody becomes alcohol dependent they often find ways to sneek a dring during their day at work this tends to reduce their productivity and in some cases endanger their being as they try to perform their tasks in an alcoholic stupor. At some point you can no longer pay your bills, your home and car get taken away, the family you have sworn to support has to leave to find a better way in life, and you are left with nothing. It is not an exaggeration to say that if you continue to abuse alcohol on a daily basis that you stand to lose literally everything that you hold dear in your life and your road to recovery will be long and difficult. Alcohol abuse is everwhere, just look around you and you will see the suffering that it causes. The road to recovery is strewn with alcoholics who?s lives have been ruined not to mention all the pain and anguish suffered by family and friends. Recovery from the effects of alcohol abuse is not as easy as the movies and television make it look. It is a long and painful process.
